So when are we getting the ability to wear 14 on July 5th, u/MLBOfficial? Or is Rob Manfred too much of an asshat still when it comes to honoring the first player to break the color barrier in the AL?

He is often described as « the second man through the door » because he followed Jackie Robinson by 11 weeks (in 1947).
In 1948 they won the World Series. His impact was huge and immediate.
Jackie’s was too, but it wasn’t until ’55 that they won the World Series.
