Kris should just call it, man. I know that there is a ton of money at stake, but it’s not worth trying to fight through this just to play baseball again.

For folks who have followed him more closely, how much of his decline was due to this issue? Dude was one of the best college hitters of all time, raked in the minors then won Roty and MVP in his first two seasons, seemed like an all-time great; was the fall off due to this?

What a sad story. One of the best young stars taken down by a bad back. I hope he’s able to at least get to a level of daily living where his pain is manageable.
With $81m left on his contract, the Rockies should be seeing what insurance will cover and see if he’ll settle on some deferred payments.

I can’t imagine the kind of pain he’s suffering through right now but I am laughing out loud at the image of him dragging himself up to the plate, screaming in agony as he tries to collect his paychecks day after day.
This is such a terrible thing. Bryant was so good to see his career end like this is so sad.
