They won it in 2006. Wasn’t this exact lineup but saying they never won it is simply inaccurate

2/3rds of that team was roided up

All thanks to LaRussa! He really had some of the best lineups but had horrible playoff management

It’s not even the fact that they didn’t win a ring. It’s that they got dominated in the World Series by Boston.

You could have assembled a team with the greatest players of all time and I still don’t think they could have beat the ‘04 Red Sox after they came back from down 0-3 against the Yankees

This lineup just transported me back to the last time my brain had serotonin

None of them are Mark Belhorn which is why they lost.
old school lineup management was nonsense. how is edmonds batting 6th?

Hearing Jon Miller and Joe Morgan call a game instantly takes me back to my childhood the same way hearing Vin Scully does
This 2004 team getting swept by the Red Sox was crazy to me even as a Red Sox fan, the World Series almost seemed like an afterthought and foregone conclusion after the 3-0 comeback on the Yankees, like there was no way they’d lose even to this new “murderers row” they called them

Fuck, I loved Jim Edmonds’ game.

Tony Womack on the Yankees in MVP Baseball 2005 was a legit HOF’er.

Love me some Jim Edmonds

Do yourself a favor, and check out the 1950 Boston Red Sox. Kings of OBP.

It’s also one of the worst starting rotations to win 100+ games. It was basically Chris Carpenter + four mediocre starters and Carpenter was hurt and didn’t even pitch in the postseason that year. Unsurprisingly, their rotation got exposed hard against a tremendous Red Sox lineup in the World Series.

Have not thought of Reggie Sanders in a long time but shoutout world champion Tony Womack who I’ve seen Dbacks fans call bad over and over.
