It’s hard to even think about the direction MLB is headed when there’s a potential major lockout looming

  2. InvasionXX

No amount of direction heading can withstand a lengthy lockout.

The answer is a bad direction. The league is becoming more and more imbalanced financially, gambling is rampant and while not quite at NFL/NBA levels yet it’s still a problem. I ring hate Manfred as much as most online but he’s made some pretty significant missteps.

  5. HemlockMartinis

67 percent of fans saying they’re enthusiastic or hopeful for MLB right now is a truth nuke for the doomers.

I think of this every time I see his name

  7. Kind of ridiculous how much gambling gets shoved down our throats on every broadcast and they haven’t even broken 10% market share. I expect the NFL’s is much higher, but that’s a smaller number than I expected.

  8. manfred bad

    gambling bad

    dodgers good

not sure any of that is debatable

  9. Jd051888LA

Wrong direction so long as MLB (and every other sports league) promotes/advertises online gambling like its Gatorade. Terrible.

  10. I would have thought the gambling numbers would be a lot higher given how everywhere it seems to be
