In exchange for what, exactly? He can’t *not* be punished.

  2. Usually these have been announced by the league directly after the player agrees not to appeal or after the appeal right? It’s a little abnormal for a writer to have a scoop on a PED suspension under the current system I think?

  3. What is the union’s defense here?
Are they just gonna argue for another 80 game suspension instead?

Player: *breaks a pretty significant MLB rule for a second time*

    MLB: “yeah you’re done.”

    PA: “yOu CaN’t Do ThAt!!”

Part of the job for the union. In in the macro it serves a purpose, if they’re willing to go to the wall to defend players who seem to be obviously guilty imagine what they’d do if you ever did try to fuck someone over. Should be the role of every union.

  6. Not saying he didn’t do it, he probably did, but also are people forgetting Ryan Braun?

  7. Every suspension is automatically appealed by every union.

This is literally what the PA has to do. It’s about making sure all procedures set out in the CBA were properly followed. It’s what happens in every PED suspension case, it’s just that we don’t usually hear about a PED suspension until after the appeal has been dropped or denied

Wait, did he get busted for PEDs *again*?!? 😭
