Roki Sasaki might be cooked as a starter

Glad Roki picked the right team to help him fix his fastball

I know he’s extremely young but I do not see one thing that impresses me about Roki.

23 pitches, 15 balls, no outs recorded. Walked the guy after this. Most pitches were fastballs.
Get ready to learn minor league assignment Roki.
He needs to stop chasing velocity in the fastball and opt for control.

Hammy calling that like it’s the playoffs. Love it.

Obviously the Dodgers are going to keep trying, but Roki is going to keep struggling as a starter. His fastball has absolutely no life to it, so unless it’s thrown at near 100, it’s just a laser beam that most MLB players can hit, and that means they can sit on his splitter and wait for the fastball.

That time of year again where Sasaki looks broken I guess. Can’t wait to see him become a god in the postseason again.
