Le 5 mars 1973, les lanceurs des Yankees de New York Fritz Peterson et Mike Kekich ont révélé l’une des histoires les plus étranges de l’histoire du sport.
Les deux coéquipiers ont annoncé qu’ils avaient essentiellement échangé leurs vies. Peterson a commencé une relation avec la femme de Kekich, Marilyn, tandis que Kekich a commencé une relation avec la femme de Peterson, Susanne.
Selon les joueurs, les familles ont également échangé leurs maisons, leurs voitures et même le chien de la famille. La situation se serait développée au fil du temps, les couples passant beaucoup de temps ensemble sur le plan social.
Les résultats ont été très différents pour les deux lanceurs. Peterson a finalement épousé Marilyn et est resté avec elle pour le reste de sa vie, tandis que la relation de Kekich avec Susanne n’a pas duré longtemps.
Cela reste l’une des histoires hors terrain les plus bizarres et dont on parle le plus dans l’histoire de la Major League Baseball.

Kekich is still alive and lives in Albuquerque afaik.
Peterson died last year still married to Suzanne.
This is probably part of the reason they did the facial hair ban.
