Je ne veux vraiment pas que ces gars-là soient relégués, mais ils ont été placés dans le groupe de la mort avec le Japon, la Corée, Taiwan et l’Australie.
A subi une défaite 11-4 contre la Corée, mais l’équipe de "électriciens et ingénieurs de jour" alignez-en 4 contre une équipe qui, selon les normes américaines, est essentiellement une équipe All-Star AAA.
En 2023, ils ont surpris les éliminatoires européens en devançant les favoris, l’Espagne et l’Allemagne (avec la Grande-Bretagne), puis ont contribué à éliminer l’équipe chinoise sponsorisée par la MLB dans la WBC.
Je ne pense pas qu’ils puissent éliminer n’importe qui dans leur groupe pour éviter la relégation, alors espérons qu’ils élargiront le WBC lors du prochain tour pour les faire revenir.
Le WBC a été fait caca par beaucoup de soi-disant "les fans" du sport dès le début, mais il a fait des merveilles en m’informant sur ce sport à travers le monde.

For a second, I thought the graphic was intentionally omitting the number of Czech runs to save them the embarrassment.
I believe Taiwan was one of the teams relegated last time so it’s not the end of the world getting into the next one

The three run bomb was pretty cool no matter what happens the rest of the way.
Only way I can see them seriously mulling over field expansion for the next tournament is if countries like Colombia and Nicaragua show the kind of growth Australia has. Gotta have some middle powers that can cause problems because the WBC is still admittedly pretty top heavy and you don’t want to add too many countries trying to get their programs off the ground

I don’t know how a feel about expanding this tournament, the bottom is already not great, but I really do want to see Czech back next time. It’s such a fun story and an easy team to pull for.

They’re not world beaters. If they make it out of this pool I’ll eat my hat.
But they can play, and they earn respect. Japan adopted them because they see that.
If you don’t know Czechia you don’t know ball. Period.
