im kind of rooting for the US to get knocked out. it would eliminate alot of stars in the playoffs and perhaps some interest but i think long run it would be better for the WBC. shows japan and the US are not just locks to advance and also may make the US players care a little more.

I’m hoping that we get a simulcast of Team USA watching Italy vs Mexico. Like at the end of the season when they show teams watching to capture the moment they clinch.

You know, if they really wanna grow the game/the WBC they could find a way to make these all watchable on the same services. Or even play them as reruns after the fact. It’s like they don’t want you to watch 75% of this tournament. Given how much more exciting Pool C and D games have been compared to your regular season MLB games, making them accessible to American viewers could go a LONG way to revitalizing interest in the sport. But no, let’s make these games as hard to watch as possible.

Long term the US getting eliminated from the WBC is good for the tournament. You’d have to think the pitching talent will increase next year after this embarrassing loss
