I would genuinely guess that Bo Naylor homering off Gabe Speier was maybe the least likely singular event this tournament. If not, it’s up there. Speier had a 1.89 xfip vs lefties last year and Bo Naylor had a 41 wrc+ vs lefties last year (career 57 wrc+ against them). All that is to say, Bednar facing 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs and the heart of the order coming up and getting 3 outs in a row feels perfectly balanced.
