A Boras client on track to hit free agency at only 27, I’m surprised they even tried

He would look great in blue (with mookie sliding to 2nd to finish out his contract). Although I could see the Yankees being in on him once they admit what volpe’s actual ceiling is

3 years away from $500M, the number they have to put in front of him for him to sign it would have to be outrageous

Why would he sign anything with the Orioles?
He’s two years away from free agency and the Dodgers, Blue Jays, Mets and Yankees would all pay him insane amounts of money to be their shortstop.
He plays a premier position and has shown a gigantic ceiling.

I will go catatonic if I have to watch him on a different team

Scott Boras always wants his clients to go to free agency. Players turning down deals though seems they are pretty sure that there’s not going to be a salary cap in next CBA.

Genuinely might stop being a fan of the sport if he leaves and signs with the Yankees, Mets or dodgers. What’s the point of being a mid market team if you literally can’t compete with big markets like them. Highest potential player since Manny or Cal and he’s going to walk right out the door
