That’s how they get you. Putting it in those small ass cups.

Get ready to challenge yourself by consuming one beer over the span of 2.5 hours.

  3. Anyone who buys and eats this and claims to have done the 9-9-9 challenge is a fraud

I mean can you even legally sell someone NINE beers at one time at any sporting event?

  5. BabaBrody

Yes but it costs as much as 9 real world beers.

  6. It won’t suffice for a 9-9-9 challenge and they shouldn’t put that on the box, but it’s probably a nice way to enjoy the game. Plus those cups would be a nice souvenir, if they weren’t so small. I guess you could use them as dessert glasses at a Giants-themed party later or something.

edit: Also is it a matter of perspective or do those dogs look weirdly short?

I mean, I get for legal reasons they can’t serve you nine cans of beer in one go, but this is pretty lame.

Most ballparks allow you to bring food in so just line your pockets with 9 hot dogs and then you just have to shell out for the beer.

  9. I want to see a chart breaking down what a legit 9x9x9 would costs at each stadium

Is the Coors Light meant to be what keeps me hydrated between the actual beers I’m drinking for the challenge?

  12. Definitely won’t count as the real deal but it’s a good way for kids to start training for the real thing, especially if its just a light beer.

It’s their way of monetizing it while also wink wink encouraging people to actually try to do it (and buy 9 beers/hot dogs since this is obviously not that). It’s a win win from the ballparks end.

This same exact thing is being sold at several stadiums this year. It’s just something Aramark put together to cash in the trend.

    Do I have a problem if I saw this « challenge » and thought « that’s not a challenge, that’s a Saturday afternoon »?

Imagine being outclassed by the Armadillo Sod Poodles.

    > The Amarillo Sod Poodles, a Double-A Diamondbacks affiliate, sells a beer and a hot dog [in regular-sized amounts] for $9.99 or a 9-9-9 challenge for $90. And the team said that the price gets knocked down to just $60.75 on Thursdays, thanks to an in-stadium promotion.
