Crazy that he’ll be in second place before the season is over and by the time his contract plays out will be the all time franchise leader in the stat

that’s a rate of 40 doubles a season across 10 years, which is crazy XBH consistency over a long period of time

..huge achievement for anyone, let alone someone who also hits 25+ HRs a season on top of it

imo, this guy is a shoe in for Cooperstown come the day

  3. Nap Lajoie was so good that the city renamed the team the Cleveland Naps in his honor, i think we should do the same and become the Cleveland Joses

  4. neon-rose

This is why his statue is going to be of him sliding into second

Tristram Speaker, Tris Speaker’s alter ego

He’s going to be in the 300/300 club by the end of the year and will end his career with 500+ doubles. Start lining up a sculptor and staking out the spot.

  7. Honestly what makes José Ramírez even crazier is that he’s doing this without ever really having a down year.

You’re doing good any time your only company on a list is dudes too old to have a photo

  9. TheSambard

Interesting they went with Tris Speaker’s full first name but not Nap Lajoie’s

I honestly think he doesn’t get half the hype he deserves because he’s very stoic and has a funny build. Very unassuming guy but a super talented player who’s probably top 10 from his era.

That’s awesome. Glad we could be there for it.
