Hard to say how much specifically this impacted the inning but moving the runners into scoring position certainly impacted how he pitched the Bogaerts at the very least

Pretty sure Machado was trying to get back to first and stopped his foot for half a second ’cause he saw the ball coming at his direction. I don’t think there’s malicious intent there (just as the Pedroia play many years ago).
