Ce jour-là, il y a dix ans, Madison Bumgarner frappait son deuxième coup de circuit en carrière contre Clayton Kershaw. Aucun autre lanceur n’a jamais réussi un coup de circuit contre Keeshaw au cours de sa carrière

Grown men (especially top tier athletes who were top shit in sports since childhood) should be required to step up to the plate and swing the bat.

Poor Brandon Belt was probably looking on with dismay wondering how a pitcher could do what he couldn’t. For context, here’s a number from Belt in his 67 PAs against Kershaw. .215. That is not his AVG, his OBP, nor his SLG. That’s his OPS against Kershaw.

Personally, Im good with the universal DH. I know some people dont like it, but the game has evolved. I will say, I miss pitcher homeruns. Slamarena is one of the coolest moments in Padres history.

Brandon Woodruff? Guess it’s not counting the postseason.

Also hit bombs against prime Greinke, prime deGrom, and prime Hyun Jin Ryu. This man was a beast.

If I was a pitcher back in the day, I’d be trying to hit a tank every time. I obviously couldn’t do it, but I’d be swinging like hell.

Forcing pitchers to hit for as long as they did in the NL was a mistake.

I always imagine them sitting on some porch in some tiny town in the south drinking Coors Lights, talking about ATVs and horses. Feels like these two would be buddies IRL.

Not denying the man’s talent but as a fan of the 2014 Royals fuck that guy.

I can think of another pitcher who hit a home run off of Kershaw

No other pitcher in the regular season?
Credit due where credit earned. Brandon Woodruff smoked one too.
