Park Seung-Kyu, à qui il ne manque qu’un double pour un coup sûr du cycle, en frappe un profondément dans le champ central et dépasse le deuxième but pour un triple sans hésitation, au grand désarroi de ses coéquipiers.

He later said in the post game interview that there is no player more important than the team and that he values the win more than his own achievement.
But, hey, second triple.
Only up 3, you gotta take every base you can
think i’m taking two triples over the cycle tbh
Thankfully, most professional players aren’t Manny Machado-ing on the field.
Last year, Trea Turner needed a triple for what would have been his record-setting 4th career cycle. In his last at-bat, he hit another home run instead. He joked after the game that it crossed his mind after touching home plate that he should have intentionally missed the plate so that he’d officially be credited with a triple.
Context: this was his first game off the injured list. He went 5-for-5 with 2 singles, 2 triples, and a home run.
I watched this live this morning today. Tough one for NC.
For what it’s worth, this video actually shows none of the “dismay”.
I see no dismay.
That’s awesome and I know people wanted him to hit for the cycle but like this is literally better than a cycle. You just don’t get the « hitting for the cycle » label
Hitting for the cycle is one of the dumbest stats in sports. Hitting two HRs and two 3Bs is clearly a better game, but it’s not “the cycle”.
You know what, good for him. I’d be more proud of that than dishonestly hitting for the cycle.
Bro ran the perfect route around first and didn’t even look at the base path.
If that’s the atmosphere this early in early season , then I need to go check out some games in Korea.
Incredible.
A true team player and the Asian way.
