I don’t understand what people want from him. He says « I have to be better » and then explains the things on his mind that made it difficult for him yesterday and so many people are like WAY TO MAKE EXCUSES LOSER

Sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy things when they come your way, y’know?

that must be why pitchers tend to be so much worse at T-Mobile… oh wait

  12. Didn’t Yamamoto also have a rough start to his first year in the MLB? Look at him now.

Taking a page right out of Jazz Chisholm’s book about not being able to play well because it’s “too cold”

  14. Besides Yamamoto none of these guys really work out

BEFORE PEOPLE START THE HATE TRAIN, the headline quotes aren’t the full story. Imai also said that he “wanted to end the losing streak” and he “wasn’t able to perform the starting pitcher’s job. That’s the sad part.” Sounds like he’s taking accountability to me. Secondly, he ends his quote about the mounds and field saying “That’s what I have to figure out, how to adjust to those mounds.” He’s clearly framing it as trying to find out why he was so bad, and what he wants to fix. He’s not blaming the mound. But of course, Reddit will do its thing and everyone will think he’s making excuses.

Japanese free agency market started hot but Murakami, Imai and Okamoto struggling now.

Feel like there were so many hot takes about how all the scouts were wrong but it will take time for them to adjust and then to see if pitchers/hitters adjust once they see them more.

Him and Jazz using the weather excuse lmao

  18. Jonjon428

You know, I think I’m OK we didnt get him now

  20. Doesn’t Seattle have like the closest comparable climate to Japan?? Obviously Japan is a big country with lots of biomes, but bro it’s not like you’re pitching in an open air stadium in Las Vegas in August.
