    When I say I believe he should be in the HoF people get agitated and start screaming about WAR and shit, but all I’m gonna say is this: at the time of his retirement, he was the all time leader in strikeouts by a lefty.

    I just read about the 1968 Tigers and apparently they came back from down 3-1 to win the World Series thanks to this guy. So RIP to a Tigers Hero.

    Now all this talk about the Tigers & World Series wins reminds me of their most recent World Series Win in 1984 which reminds me of Lou Whitaker which reminds me that the Veterans Committees really needs to put him in the Hall of Fame b/c as my grandfather likes to say “we need to give people their flowers while they can still smell them”
