I guarantee you it’s not Bob Nutting who wants them to take his money. It’s the threat of losing the revenue-sharing status if he doesn’t spend enough. It’s known that they can, in fact, spend comfortably and that the front office’s constraints aren’t based in a lack of bankroll for the team. The constraints, as always, run back to Bob Nutting’s inane greed.
Nutting and John Fisher would be best friends.
And even if Nutting signs either of those players, it would change nothing. He will still be Public Enemy No. 1 in Pittsburgh.
Adding Framber and Ozuna would be quite the finishing flourish for the Pirates.
Would be kind of funny for them to finally make a big splash…but on a pitcher
It’s really easy to be an « aggressive suitor » and earn a lot of kudos for the « we tried » tracker, but color me skeptical on how « aggressive » they’re actually being.

Would be a very fun rotation. Skenes and Framber would have some insane stretches together not to mention a bunch of young high potential guys in Bubba and Ashcraft. I want to believe the Pirates can get it done but I highly doubt it
I don’t see them signing both. It would be a 1 or the other for the Pirates. The pitching they have is pretty good on paper, so they should go for Ozuna. Nutting is definitely not spending on both
A clubhouse with both Framber and Marcell must be a wholesome sight for all to bear witness.
