Not shaking a man’s hand is weird. Not shaking your teammates hand is weirder. Idk if it’s some mamba mentality thing, but it’s the WBC not the Olympics. Just an odd situations.

Very unpopular here, but I am with Raleigh through this whole thing. Other catchers have denied handshakes and this was with him literally in catching position. There was no reason to take that much offense to it, as it almost definitely wasn’t personal
Really the most disrespectful thing anyone did was easily Arozarena going public and cursing him out.

I really don’t think this is that deep. Randy felt hurt by it and reacted as such. That’s fine and valid. Cal reached out to him to apologize privately and talk with him.

It kinda looks all blown out of proportion. Randy wanted a show of sportsmanship to his teammate on a world stage but that teammate was locked in on being not-teammates. They clearly didn’t talk about it beforehand and it looks extra awkward.
Is it possible this is an inside joke and wveryoneis making way too big a deal?
