It is kind of funny how DR was upset but level headed at this bad call, meanwhile Venezuela lost their mind and continued to bark at the umps for 10 minutes over Acuna’s check swing which was called correctly.

Robot umpires laughing at another controversial call. I have a 99.99999999768% of correct calls humans. But, go…on…with…your….bad selves.
Even with my feeble human eyes it does look like it’s just barely at the top of the knees as the ball first crossed the plate. But it definitely dives hard by the time the catcher catches the ball. If it’s that close you really have to swing with two strikes.
I can only assume the ump was sleepy and wanted to go home.

I just realized Machado and Tatis have now had two seasons end on bad low calls in the span of like 6 months. That’s brutal.
Woefully lackluster performance by their bats today. Not a choke job by any means this deep in, but this whole tournament was theirs to lose, and they did.
No one will care, but I had to look at it and measure myself because I didn’t think it was as egregious as everyone said. The lower edge of the strike zone is « a point just below the kneecap. » [I judge that to be the red line while Perdomo is in his stance.](https://imgur.com/inux7s9) The second image shows the blur of the ball. Perdomo has taken more counts of any player in a single season to full count in multiple seasons. The dude knows the strike zone. If I’m an ump and I see him take it, no way i’m calling a questionable strike in this situation

Thats call was insane. Calls were terrible throughout and no team ever loses bc of 1 call obv, but that was tough to watch
