Seeing this last night makes me have even more respect for the tags Javier Baez makes

Seemed crucial, but he would have mostly likely scored no matter what on the double of Suarez

it’s amazing how everything venezuela did in that game was crucial to the win

USA: Ties the game up with a clutch homer:

Garrett Whitlock: I’m gonna do what’s called a pro gamer move.

They showed Acuna telling Senoja to get a bigger lead before he stole second also at some point. What a moment

Same fans telling DR fans « ump been calling that low pitch all game, gotta swing! » are all saying « Sanoja was out at second »

Big dumper would have thrown him out. I have no bias at all

It’s such a close play as well.

This may be a dumb question but if you challenge a play like this, to over turn the call does it need to be conclusive? Like if he’s called safe but is actually out(which he isn’t out, but if he was) and they can’t find an angle that tells them that, can the umps say “We can’t prove he’s out, but he is”?

This was immediately after Joe Davis saying he’s not fast and only a tick more speed then Arraez. Boom steals second.

javy baez would have made that tag…

that ball was there ahead of sanoja…

we talk about OF route to the ball, turang took that tag on a ride….

all to say, javy is a beautiful human

Unrelated, and sure I am biased, but you can tell who actually knows what they’re talking about based on their opinion of that throw from Smith
