After a tournament in Myrtle Beach on March 8-12, a whistleblower notified the college of undisclosed incidents, some of which were captured on video.
After an investigation, the university fired the entire coaching staff (minus the strength and conditioning coach) and cancelled the remaining 26 games of the season.
Penn College is. D-III program in Williamsport, PA.
Between 22-28 players are still on the roster and will continue to have access to team facilities, and the college intends to find a new coach and resume play next season.
If you’re the strength and conditioning coach are you happy to still have a job or mad that you didn’t get invited to the shenanigans ?
For the entire remainder of the season and entire coaching staff to be fired, this must be horrible. Like, exceptionally so. I just hope the kids are okay

The head coach, Chris Howard, [played catcher for the Mariners for three years](https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/h/howarch01.shtml). He had been the HC at Penn College since 2007.

I went and even worked there as a student in an admin adjacent role and on the student discipline committee. I only have 1 contact left there, but this is not the type of thing they would be involved with or know anything about.
This college has an *interesting* atmosphere. I remember going to parties at various sport houses and they **all** made me uncomfortable. No particular reason, but I was never at ease at these parties. Obviously, I don’t know the nature of this issue, like everyone else, but I would not be surprised if it was drug and/or prostitution related. For all the school’s faults, sexual abuse was not something that came up, at least when I was there. The college is mostly straight, blue collar dudes.
