All that and Boyd still gave up 6 in the fourth, huh?

    TIL that wind affects baseball

In all seriousness, that’s pretty cool

This happens on most of my drives! I promise I can hit the ball 310.

And to think another batter absolutely pelted one out in that same direction… What would that have looked like under calm conditions?

The wind was nuts yesterday here, they had to lock the revolving door at my building because it was spinning dangerously fast.

Oracle Park in San Francisco is where absolute smash hits go to die in the air during night games. I’ve seen it many times from 3rd base triple deck. The ball flies then just fizzles out.

I remember a minor league game I worked where a dude hit a ball 106 at a 27 degree launch angle. The ball should’ve cleared the CF wall…except the wind was blasting in from center and the CF literally took like two steps back and made a routine catch.

    It’s weird to see a well-hit ball that’s going, going…nowhere

And that’s why righty pull hitters go to Wrigley to die

I hate a two club wind. It’s always hurting, never helping.

I saw McGuire hit a steroid-fulled bomb there wthe wind… Out of the stadium and down the street. Probably went 600′
