The Wild Card banner needs to go, but the AL Champs one rocks
You shouldn’t *unveil* anything but a World Series banner. Winning the pennant is an accomplishment and deserves a banner or recognition. But just put it up before the season starts and don’t call attention to it, let people come to the ballpark in July and go « Oh, look. »
Maybe it’s just me, but I think “AL Champions” would’ve sounded a lot better on the banner than “ALCS Champs”

Altogether was pretty hype pre game. Nice mix of start of year, 50 year celebration and pulling positive vibes from last years run. Tough to do with losing the big one but they made it work well enough with 50 years and opening day to me.

Gave us one the best World Series of all time, I almost started rooting for the Blue Jays at one point during it but then the bat flip flashbacks wouldn’t allow it, respected last years team though

League pennants can have banners because of the history there, but ALDS champs is wild.
Especially for the Blue Jays.
It isn’t like this is a team without rich history or championships.
Damn, they both are wishing hard it was a WS banner. Inches away from it being a WS banner. I’m rotting for them as my AL team this year
