Nowhere near the zone, good work Randy

Dude was half way to first before the call came in 😆

  3. SPAGHETTI_CAKE

That was way too tight from a guy I don’t think necessarily has the best idea of the zone lol

This is already been more entertaining than I ever thought it would be

I hope more players do this, love it, adds to the drama, obviously full count only….if for instance Randy (or any other player in this circumstance) was incorrect the camera should pan right to the ump staring him down as he shame walks back to the dugout.

Imagine if he lost the challenge lmao

I thought a ABS request doesn’t count if it’s not the first motion of the batter

So whomever was umping the braves was a dick for not allowing Olson to challenge after a second delay, dude was halfway to first before calling for it

Challenges are better at higher counts, fewer outs, and later in the game. 3-2 with one out and feeling that confident? Definitely should be challenging, closer than he thought but the coaches should be happy with the decision.

Ended up scoring a run too off a fielder’s choice and a double.

Oh I love this shit. Good for you Randy.

It was 3-2 count already so the gear was coming off either way.

to be fair, he’s taking that shit off either way

He may have been confident, but I don’t ascribe the behavior we see here merely with confidence. It’s not like he jogged down to first; he stopped a few feet outside the batters box to remove his equipment. There was a full count with 2 outs, so he’s either walking or the inning’s over, and he’s positioned himself perfectly for either outcome.
