Yankees fans being less optimistic than the Marlins might be the funniest thing I have seen all week.

I want to meet someone from the 0.2% of pessimistic dodgers fans.

Dang Jerry (White Sox) did so little to get so much
Swimming_Elk_3058
Listing them in order like this kind of undersells how much the bottom 6 teams fall off a cliff compared to everyone else.
Another way to look at this is that all but 6 teams fanbases are generally more optimistic than not, which is interesting.

‘Sup Twins fans!
Fuck Arte AND fuck the Pohlads ✊

I wanna hear from these Rockies fans.

Nothing would make me happier than running it back. Last year ended in heartbreaking fashion, we need to finish the story!

Angels should be zero.
Most of the Angels fans I’ve spoken to want the team to be so bad that Arte considers selling it. Also want Trout to be Trout again. So far i’m loving it because no one drafted Trout in our fantasy league and I picked him up and he’s been killing it. My selfishness, but even if I didn’t have Trout on my team(s), i’d still want him to shine again.

The 5.7% is just for Trout’s comeback season, probably.

So roughly 4.3% of the Twins fanbase is intoxicated.

I cannot believe that those Royals fans have not learned to not get too hopeful until May.
We’ve had more 6+ game losing streaks in *only* April since *only* 2003 than the Yankees have had in their entire existence. It felt like every year for 20+ years I would get my hopes up through spring training, and then we would immediately start like 2-12 and never make it back to .500.
I get the team is better. I get the WBC was awesome. I still do not let myself feel emotional investment until we are safely in May and still at least somewhere in the vicinity of .500.

Surprised the Phils are that low considering multiple Red October years and one of the best pitching lineups in the league. Understand the underperformance from the batting lineup during these Octobers but they have game breakers at the top of the order that can change that narrative in an instant.

This poll did not ask our GDT which had no less than a dozen people hurl themselves into the nearest ravine after our first weekend of play.

Very curious about how the survey was presented. Was it just « Are you optimistic about your team this season? »
That could mean a lot of different things to different fans. Could be « yes, I think we’ll do better than last season » (eg. Rockies, White Sox). Could be « I don’t think we’ll be good, but I’m excited about our young core of players » (e.g. Cardinals).

I think a lot of informed Orioles fans believe that last season was the worst case scenario for our team and that new coaching and new additions will bring the level of the team up by a lot. I think fans were so down last year because many newer fans thought we were going to be winning 100 games every year with a new ROY winner each year.
I’m already excited for this year. Some of our bullpen pieces are looking good. And yesterday’s game shows this team will actually play from behind. Last year our starters would give up 5 runs in the first few innings and it seemed like the rest of the team just phoned it in. Reason #1 to fire Hyde imo.

is this a « we’ll win the WS optimisic » OR « we’ll have a good season optimisic »?
