« Et ces relations prennent du temps, et elles demandent à être entretenues. Et je suis dans la quarantaine maintenant. Je ne veux pas passer quelques années simplement à apprendre à connaître les gens pour essayer de me rapprocher du niveau que j’ai atteint en termes de personnes que je connais à travers le jeu et qui a pris 23 ans à construire. «
« J’aime aussi le baseball », a-t-il déclaré. « En fin de compte, c’est ça le problème : je préfère le baseball à tous les autres sports. Alors même si ce serait un véritable défi et un exercice fascinant, non. Non merci. »

Would have been a big loss for baseball. Whenever he and Kurkjian decide they’re done, baseball will lose a couple of real ones..
I never understood the appeal of these breaking news reporters. Does it really matter having the xitter feed that gets the news 5 min faster than everyone else? And they always end up having to do a lot of unsavory work for agents and other sources to get there.
It’s not surprising. If you hear Woj talk about it, it sounded like he ruined his life so he could announce draft picks 12 seconds before they were actually announced. The entirely self-inflicted problems it caused him seemed very significant given how ultimately insignificant his job was.
The general toxicity of NBA coverage would’ve soured him on the sport I think. Not saying baseball fans are some saints but a lot of NBA viewers just straight up don’t like the sport.

NBA is boring that’s a good career move.
I like Passan. He’s got good personality and screen presence.
My only gripe with him is he unapologetically carries water for MLB – which makes sense given his paycheck depends on it.
But for 3 years to act like the current Dodgers infrastructure is good for baseball, or for him to go on Russillo the other day and suggest 16-20 teams could compete for the World Series this year, just all reeks of a guy who knows where his bread is buttered and who has no proclivity to being a well-known arbiter of the health of the sport and its glaring opportunities.
The NBA sucks. I am not from Boston but it’s so uninteresting and the regular season means nothing.
