    I feel like they should just get rid of the strike zone on the broadcast. Let everyone guess, would be fun rather than knowing if it’s a ball or strike while the commentators don’t. Maybe it could show up after borderline pitches or missed calls?

    Is this a popular opinion?

    The only thing to safely read into at this point in the season is how precarious the home plate umpires’ jobs are.

    Home plate Umps should lose 100$ on their paycheck per overturned challenge.

    I predict that within 5 years, MLB will go to full ABS like the KBO.

    It’s bad but I do believe in grace periods to start the season. Just like hitters or pitchers, umps should get a few weeks to get into the swing of it since it takes getting reps to get accurate.

    Now if this happens in the playoffs, then yea we got an issue

    I don’t know what the vertical drop on that is, but it was definitely a lot closer at the front of the plate

    When did all these catchers get so damn good at framing? Making low pitches look right down the middle.
