this seems like a huge amount for a player with zero service time but it makes me wonder if they’re anticipating changes to the years of club control in the next CBA. Weird timing as it doesn’t really feel like there’s an obvious spot for him to get everyday playing time on the major league roster for him right now with JP supposed to come back at the end of the week
