  1. This is really putting Cal Ripken Jr’s record into perspective. 2,632, more than a 1000 more games, *in a row* Crazy.

Anytime I see an update from Sarah it makes me happy to know she’s out there doing exactly what she loves

  3. That feels pretty low for an original AL team. You’d think someone in the reserve clause era would’ve stuck around for more than 15 years.

Edit: Checked, among the original AL teams 1620 games would be the 4th highest total for the A’s, 9th for the Red Sox, Orioles, and White Sox, 13th for the Tigers, 14th for the Twins and 17th for the Yankees.

From some quick googling it looks like Ketel Marte could be joining this list late this year if he stays healthy and isn’t traded.

I thought Trout would be closer for the Angels but he’s still 360 games behind Garret Anderson. Injuries have done that unfortunately.

Google has him listed as the third most relevant Terry Turner. That’s turn of the century baseball obscurity for ya..

They renamed the team to the Cleveland Naps because of Nap Lajoie. When are we getting the Cleveland Joses?
