Luis Robert Jr. so far is our only offensive addition doing much of anything so far
xho-
Marcus Semien is 2-for-22 (.091) to start the season.
His two hits were on Opening Day, a fly ball that Oneil Cruz lost in the sun and an infield single off the pitcher’s glove.

I simply cannot be bothered to have a reaction to this stuff on April 2nd. Come back in May.

That checks out… He’s had a few great at bats working 7+ pitches to K or get on base and also a few at bats striking out on pitches that hit him or hit home plate lol… same with fielding, a few stellar plays and a few plays where he threw it 10 feet off first base lol. I know it bucks the trend of r/baseball (and especially r/newyorkmets) but I think it’s too early to make absolute judgements about him
Squishy_20
The Semien trade looks a lot worse. He’s beyond cooked offensively. He’s 3 for 23 on the season with 2 infield singles and dropped popup
applex_wingcommander
Bo goes on stretches where he is incredibly hard to get out.
I wouldn’t worry metropolitans
Emperor_Cheeto21
Offense is like whatever. Most of the best hitters look like dogshit right now early on. But his defense looka even worse than what people were expecting. He’s not a 3B
Le_Roke
I think you meant slashes, not splits.
He’ll come around. If this week happened in June barely anybody would have noticed.

Newbie here, is it possible Mets trade him back before the deadline if he continues to slump?
vaporgaze2006
At least he is an elite defender who has excellent range and makes accurate throws to 1B. 😬😬😬
Frosty_Dimension5646
Caught a few games and the Mets don’t even seem like a team so far. Just a bunch of dudes playing together lmao
okpaimeihereicome
He’s gonna be Rendon level of a bad contract
23JRojas
Harrison bader robbing his homerun likely didn’t help his morale either today

Everything sucks and nothing will get better.

Bo’s going to hit. Don’t worry, Mets fans.
There will be stretches where he’s toying with pitchers just for fun.

At least he gives you below average defense.
