Minnesota has great sports fans. I’m glad they’re not giving the Pohlads their hard-earned money.

Crowd: A large number of people or things gathered together in one place.

I don’t think this qualifies as a crowd. It’s more of a “polite assembly.”

Being named Outman is not good unless you are a pitcher

Yeah, the Twins front office really hasn’t done much to make a 37° (and dropping) Monday night game very appealing.

« Hi I’m Byron Buxton, and you’re watching Disney Channel »

Everything looks bleaker in a city after fascism hits hard.

  8. Sad. Saw a cleveland guardians game highlights that had the same , I really think they added crowd noise to the highlights

I really think Target Field is beautiful but God is it miserable in the early part of the season and their ownership does no favors.

With that said should be another 70/30 Brewers to Twins fans weekend.

It was absolutely freezing and windy in Minneapolis today, not surprised

  11. Sucks, I guess that the price to pay for having 81 options per year.

  12. It ain’t a real SNF parody without mentioning someone’s elementary school

  13. JimmyRollinsPopUp

ESPN has the attendance listed as 12,569. That can’t possibly be correct, right?

I love going to games with a sparse crowd like that. You can watch every inning from a different section and no usher is going to hassle you. Keeps the blood moving and offers a unique game experience so it’s a win-win!

By the time we reach maybe the 4th guy, the head tilt up starts to feel like a bit

Probably the most empty a park has been for a game since COVID.

In a different timeline the Twins could be contenders with hype around them and I don’t think there’d have been many people there tonight. It’ll be more noteworthy if it’s like this on a gorgeous 72 degree Saturday afternoon in June, not a cold ass Monday night in April. It was around 32 degrees with wind making it feel more like 20.

Yeah, I imagine there are some infectious diseases that are more popular than the Pohlads right now.

  19. Warmasssoup19

And why did it take a whole minute for Trevor Larnach to say his name and he barely mumbled it

  20. RobutNotRobot

The weather hasn’t helped but the Pohlads can go fuck themselves. Not going to a game until they’ve sold the team.

I’m sure it’s pretty cold out there right now

Also won’t this get weird if they have a player who didn’t go to college?

Ok real question- twins season ticket holders (all 12 of you) how tf do you make any of your money back if you can’t go to all 81 games?

I have done a half season for a while now and can make like 70% back and I go to like 20+ out of my 40

  23. Since I was already downtown and got a really nice ticket off the resale market cheap… it was an excellent time. Cold, yes. But the crowd was full of fellow sickos keeping score, visitors from Detroit, families getting their money’s worth, and some young bucks with some decent heckles making all the noise. Felt just like a Saints game at the end of the year.

  24. StableGeniusCovfefe

I Couldn’t hear them over the roar of the crowd

  25. Just add a dome and a Kirby. Then attendance will go up.

  26. Playing games in Minnesota in April always made sense…says no one ever. MLB season starts way too early. All April games should be played inside or in warmer locations.

  27. Target Field is turning 16 years old, but in the future every stadium in the northern half of the US should be a dome or a retractable roof. Used to be opposed to stadiums that aren’t open-air designs, but people simply won’t go if the weather/temps aren’t favorable.

Absolutely pathetic. Move the team to Caracas. That’s what some asshole sportswriter from Chicago said about our team who averages 35,000 a game.
