They already won a challenge that inning, no need to chirp if you’re not willing to challenge again.

One of the first times I’m ever on an ump’s side. If you don’t like his call then challenge it.

I’ve been waiting for this ngl. I wanted to see an umpire response to pitcher heckling about calls.

  5. I love it for the umps. This is EXACTLY how they should treat it.

Don’t like it? Do something about it. Unless you’re too much of a coward.

You’re right? Good on you. You’re wrong? Shouldn’t have doubted my expertise.

The rule changes for baseball in the past few years have been fantastic.

If you have challenges and still complain. That’s on you

While i agree on principle, I have lost count of how many pitches could have been overturned in this game and its the start of the 3rd. This ump is *bad*

Probably was a strike. But I do know that if you win a challenge on a 3-0 pitch in the first inning and the cleanup hitter knocks in the guy on first, you’ll look even dumber. Civale is probably weighing that when he’s rolling his eyes. There’s two outs, it’s not worth risking it. Very low leverage

What goes thru someone’s head when they decide to bark at an ump when they have challenges remaining

Would’ve LOVED to have seen him challenge and force that ump to say “call overturned, strike one”
