The Guardians *seemed* to put a pacifier on most people challenging calls yesterday after being dead last in success rate so far.
The bad news for Stephen Vogt was Iassogna was terrible all day.
The good news (for Vogt) was KC didn’t capitalize on the gifted opportunities
As for KC only challenging once… 🤷

I was close calling this yesterday in the game chat. Better than expected tbh.

But only four challenges all game?

Is there any data indicating that ump accuracy declines in blow-outs? Just wondering if statistically there’s a point at which the ump says « Whatever, let’s just get this over with » and stops being precise on close calls.
(Not saying that’s what happened here—Iassogna looks like he does a pretty terrible job calling balls and strikes. Just one of those things I am curious about, along with whether ABS will have any impact on « make-up » calls.)

Yup. He’s always terrible and has an ego.
Plus 2.82 is ridiculous
