(Rome) La soirée de Tatsuya Imai est terminée. Il a enregistré un retrait, a marché quatre frappeurs, en a frappé un autre et a lancé 36 lancers. Imai sort avec les bases chargées.

AI hallucinates from time to time, it’s expected

I, for one, thought he performed spectacularly.

I like Imai, I hope he turns things around once he gets settled in the MLB.

  5. Damn. Doing this poorly against the worst offense so far in 2026 is not gonna be good for his confidence

I feel like I’m being pranked. I don’t understand what I’ve just watched.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many uncompetitive 2 strike pitches in a row in my life

My personal take is that the pitch calling of Vazquez is lacking. Imai has been in multiple 0-2 counts with multiple batters and still walked the batter today. Same at the game with the Angels, where Imai was only pumping 4-seamers to Trout, which eventually let to him imploding. Ask for a splitter once in a while. Yamamoto, for example, also has days that he does not have feel for his 4-seamer, but he will pitch himself out of it by only throwing his curve and split.

If he did this against a major league team they sure woulda made him pay for it!!

Pathetic, looks like we let the wrong pitching coach leave.

Don’t let the score fool you, this offense is still hot garbage.

  12. It seems like because of NBP dead balls, everyone overlooked their hitters and overestimated their pitchers.

Every NPB pitcher struggles in their first MLB season. Not saying he’s going to be great later…we just don’t know yet.

It’s so crazy after he declined to be on the WBC squad. Seems like he is just a different dude that is probably not adjusting to life here.

Randy got HBP because he didn’t shake Arozarena’s hand before the AB.
