absolute nut punch for the mets, of course it’d be a double play for them. mets offense is heading from « it rain’s it pours » to monsoon.
I will preface by saying that I understand hitting at the major league level is extremely hard and we really have no idea what it’s like.
That said…. This was maybe the sorriest offense performance I’ve ever seen from a major league offense. I don’t even mean that as an insult, just an objective observation of what I saw.
