should have continued doing it. For over 20 years he was THE Voice of postseason baseball, the A team. Him and Tim McCarver and later Smoltz and Verducci. He provided the soundtrack to many big time playoff moments.

« To first…The Cubs have finally won it all! 8-7, in 10! »

« Freese, to center. We will see you…tomorrow night. »

« The Giants win the pennant. »

This guy reminds me of the band Creed. It became cool to shit on him for a long time, but that’s because we didn’t know how much worse it could be. He’s not the greatest announcer but he’s more tolerable than most of the national announcers, and his voice brings me nostalgia.

I really appreciate that. Never thought I’d say it but, Joe Buck W.

I’ve heard he’s better at NFL stuff.

I like listening to him but for some reason he annoys me looking at him. Reminds me of the lucky sperm club or elites in St. Louis that think they’re better than everyone else.

I don’t get the hate for Buck honestly. He can be a little dry/boring at times but I would prefer that in high stakes moments, just let fans enjoy the experience. Far better than someone like Romo who can’t stfu to save his life

People still trashing Joe Buck in the year 2026. Smh man. Smh

There is quite literally no sports take I don’t understand more than, « Joe Buck sucks. » Joe Buck is the most milquetoast, B average sportscaster ever. He’s what you get if you grew a play-by-play guy in a lab to sell for mass consumption. Put him with capable color guys, and you have something close to a perfect ensemble. People whine that he hates X or Y team, but they are confusing what it sounds like when a sportscaster isn’t an active homer for the team they are calling. The one true talent Joe Buck has is knowing when to call something important and then shut the hell up so we can watch it happen.

Really don’t understand the hate. Joe Buck had his moments, but honestly he has good calls and did just fine. Especially compared to the likes of Bob Costas and John Smoltz

I like job buck. Iconic voice. Those yankee vs red sox early 2000s games he did amazing.

That’s great news he’s lived off his dads “GOAT” of all time coat tails he sucks

  11. Bright-Pressure-5787

I’ll say it: I think this sucks. It’s good that Buck made his decision and he can live with it, but I think he did a very good job calling baseball games from 2012 until his last year at Fox in 2021. People who still trash him still think that he’s the 2000s-early 2010s Joe Buck, and he hasn’t been that kind of announcer for quite some time. It would’ve been sick of hear him call a playoff game on ESPN, but it is what it is.

    Joe Buck hate is overrated.

It could be worse, he could be John Smoltz

  13. Everyday-Lurk

Giants fans love Joe Buck because Joe Buck loves the Giants.

Joe Buck IMO is so bad, I am thankful when MNF has a Manningcast option.

  15. Enough-Ad-3111

That’s Ok. His true calling has been the NFL.

I can respect him for that.

  16. It honestly bothers me that he’s in the baseball HOF when it honestly seems like he doesn’t even like to announce baseball games.

  17. saltlakepotter

    The Buck stops here.

    He’s better at football anyway.

  18. Living__A__Meme

I think I only hated him because that’s when the Cardinals would wreck the Dodgers in the post season lol. He’s very good.
