Honestly ball knowers know how good Austin Warren is. He was fantastic in our bullpen but absolutely got obliterated after his first year. He was the pitcher in the infamous ‘joe maddon walks the bases loaded for some reason’, and you could tell he was absolutely devastated. Then he got hit in the face by a baseball during practice and on top of injuries always just kinda had a tumultuous time. But he knew ball and I’m glad he’s knowing ball here too.

Crazy to see what real life Mets fans are like when the ones on their Reddit are straight up posting that they’re happy their old closer got injured and needs surgery
This reminds me of this time I was watching a cricket game – the home team was giving up wickets(outs) at an unprecedented rate(you basically only get 10 « outs » per game and are expected to score 150 or so runs in T20 format). The crowd would erupt in cheers when a batsman simply didn’t give up a wicket on a given bowl(pitch).
They ended up having the worst loss in professional cricket history. It was hilarious because they’re from the city we don’t like.
