Comme nous l’avions tous prédit. Ron Washington est-il un faiseur de miracles ?

I think Jazz being on there is just as surprising to most people.

OAA is silly in small sample sizes though. Its totally opportunity based.

The funny thing is it actually checks out. He’s had really good speed turning double plays especially. Now his range is clearly limited, and over a larger sample will pull his OAA down as he will miss balls that other 2B will get to, but if he gets to it he’s been making plays as well as anyone

No you don’t understand dorks who never go outside told me he was one of the worst second basemen in the league.

after the wbc i want to see arraez hit bombs and look at his bat confused again

good reminder that single season defensive metrics are useless.

So you can imagine that the sample of less than 30 games is…not that useful.

I contend that anyone can be a good defender if they are taught the right mindset to do it.

Very cool that to watch the “Arraez is a one-tool player” takes freeze in real time

DRS has him at -3, it’s just early-season fluctuation.

  9. I would just like to say that Pete caught one last night in the 9th that off the bat looked like a double into the gap but he just causally ran over and caught it

Everyone in the Giants sub was crying when he signed him because they thought he’d be terrible defensively lmao

  11. Love the guy so much. Was so sad to see him leave SD. Glad to see him flourishing.

I didn’t see a ton of defensive wizardry last year but he was serviceable. Maybe 2B is more natural a fit than 1B? Either way, kudos!
