Ken Rosenthal. His name always sounded like a medicine for your throat. A lozenge, if you will.

Another example of extending non star players early sometimes isnt a good thing

Would have been the 3rd GM to get fired with Cora still as manager if it had been the other way around. Has that ever happened?

breslow really thought he could just coast through the offseason with zero moves and fans wouldn’t notice. at least when kings trade away good players they get something back instead of just letting talent walk for nothing

Just a reminder, the pursuit of Alex Bregman failed because they wouldn’t offer him a no-trade clause

    Utterly hilarious

  6. I am actively rooting against the Red Sox this year

I’ve got a trip to Boston in the summer and want cheap tickets to take the kids to Fenway

Cora was suspended for cheating and hasn’t won shit since. He’s not blameless, just talentless.

Two things can be true simultaneously. Breslow made decisions with the roster and within the front office that have alienated players and non-players alike, and Cora needed to go.

The fish rots from the head down.

  9. I know this sub hates both Cora and Rosenthal, so a Rosenthal article defending Cora is a perfect storm, but he’s not wrong here. The Sox FO has been a bit of a disaster the last couple years and you could argue that Cora had overperformed with his roster last season.
