Il y a un mois, j’ai partagé ce sondage de l’Athletic sur l’optimisme de chaque fanbase à l’égard de son équipe pour la saison. Qu’est-ce qui a changé après un mois de Baseball ?

My guesses would be ~~Angels swap with Met~~s, Rockies swap with Red Sox, Padres swap with Mariners.

  2. Have to imagine the Rockies and Twins are no longer in the bottom 5.

And the Royals, Red Sox, and Mets are certainly no longer in the top 10.

I guess all the NL West Teams feel fairly hopeless except the Dodgers, makes sense.

  4. Need to find the 0.2% Dodgers fans and check up on them.

We at r/orioles would say either #1 or #31 depending on whether we won that day or not.

It’s weird – the Guardians usually get off to slow starts so going 15-14 with a tough schedule should be encouraging.

But the team feels different – bullpen is bad and lots of errors. Starting pitching has been up and down. Losing Luis Ortiz and Clase w/ no return sucks. But the team also has more pop than previous years.

If they can get back to good defense and a great pen I’d feel better about them being competitive for the whole season and potentially grabbing a wild card

Still feeling good in Tiger Town. Tork on a good hitting streak, McGonigle is fun to watch. Flaherty got lit up last start, but he’ll straighten it out.

  8. Obviously early but Rays at #26 with the current situation is funny. This team always has at least a month of BSing wins in them

Yankees at 22 seems insane but the actual percentage seems about right. Though it should be much higher considering they have (what currently looks like) the only good team in the American League

The world is so much brighter and more beautiful. Every night I dream of a purple triceratops and sleep peacefully knowing all is well.

There ain’t no way the pirates fans had 80% optimism rate. I’d be surprised if it’s even 25%

Phillies fans were already feeling a lack of optimism because of the lack of changes to the identity of this team for 4 years and worse playoff outcomes every season.

At this point today, we’re expecting someone fired at some point today and I don’t think there are more than a handful of people that think this team has anything to offer going forward.

Padres fandom is funny. Ever since the Juan Soto trade we panic and doom and act like the sky is falling all offseason, then AJ pulls some last minute rabbits out of hats and the team wins enough games to make the playoffs. We must all have PTSD from the 2023 superteam implosion.

Feels like Bmore really should’ve used that Alonso money on better pitching, doesn’t feel like a playoff team like this

The Mehts, Phillies, Red Sox, Astros, Royals and Blue Jays expectations have definitely changed imo

Last year Blue Jays had a rough start and it’s even rougher this year with the injuries so it’s really hard to tell if the Jays will bounce back by June like last year, I don’t have faith in making the playoffs this year.

Pirates are winning the World Series so you can put me down for 100%

The NY teams will have completely flipped, with NYY being one of the best teams so far and the Mets going full lolmets mode.

Definitely a lot lower than preseason

But also a lot higher than a week ago

  20. I feel about the same. Maybe a concern with the idea that this team will be streaky.

Pitching was a concern pre-season and will be one til the endo

Yankees fans are never satisfied. Baffling that they had less hope than we did…

    Our « big » off-season signing was Hoskins…

  22. There’s no way Mets fans were legitimately that optimistic.
