Face aux Dodgers cet après-midi, Miami alignera une autre formation de salaire minimum de la ligue. Aujourd’hui, tous les frappeurs sont égaux ou très proches du salaire minimum de la Ligue.

and all batting like .300
This is arguably worse for the game than what we’re doing.
Not one Arbitration Eligible position player in the lineup, let alone a free agent. I love the young guys, but come on.
As long as Christopher Morel is not in the lineup, this is an every game occurrence. Morel is the only player on the Marlins who is not making within $30,500 of league minimum
Marlins will probably win again, because baseball.
Kinda disingenuous when players don’t hit arbitration or FA for several years. There’s what, like 5 or 6 guys here that are within that window?
morel is the only position player over $1m, and he only is at $2m

We have the best middle infield in baseball and they’re both broke bois. Bendix masterclass.
Every time I see Graham Pauley’s name I remember his brief Padres tenure… and striking out on a ball that hit him in the face
We’re cooked.
only their pitcher is making a free agent salary (he was extended but at a free agent salary price).
if it was max meyer pitching then all 10 starters would be league min
This is a good illustration of how the owners want fans to think that the problem is paying players well (the Dodgers) instead of the actual problem, which is paying them the bare minimum (the Marlins).
Pedantry question: is the pitcher part of “the lineup” (in a game with a DH)? They are listed with the other starting players on the lineup cards exchanged before the game.
Forgot that pitchers don’t hit for a second and I was like “Hey! Sandy got extended, right?”
