Loved him so far. Our starting pitching has been steady all year and the defense is outstanding. I’m just praying for the bats to come along a little bit and for Anthony to return

Tolle and Early have been pretty much the only two bright spots for the Sox in this season from hell

Another member of the three fastballs club. You’re gonna get heat, you got no clue which way it’s going to move or break – so good fucking luck.
Only not great underlying stat is his xFIP which is at 3.48, but the Red Sox have a great defense behind him so that helps keep him outperforming his FIP and xFIP.
2nd lowest xERA is 97th percentile?
Breslow gets a lot of heat but one area he deserves credit is (hopefully) vastly improving the Red Sox ability to develop starting pitchers. Since Henry bought the team 23+ years ago, they have only ever developed one good starting pitcher (Jon Lester). The next best is either Clay Buchholz or Brayan Bello. Easily one of the worst track records in baseball over that timeframe.
Oh! Good. His X-whatever is great! Too bad the actual team sucks.
