Thoughts from Truist Park, #43 and next to last stadium before I seen em all and a few olds too.
Truist is a REALLY, REALLY good ballpark. I’m not sure why it doesn’t get thought of when thinking about good ballparks, but it has just about everything going for it.
I love field level concourses where you can watch the game from and was bummed to see Lux Boxes right behind home plate………
But what they replaced it with is great.
MUSEUM PARK IS AWESOME (Braves have great history)
Field level concourse has great views and offerings
Gaps in upper deck and shade structure give a slight Petco feel
Big ass fans on the concourses rock
Braves home uni’s are so classic, so baseball
Brick work is nice touch to a Georgia kind of feel
What’s the xfinity club?
2nd and 3rd decks look good, but the 4th is like upper lf at Globe Life. STEEP
Lots of Phillie fans . Transplants or travel well ?
Beer vendor in the stands: “Come on now Philly fans, don’t think about it, drink about it.”
In the Home Depot Tool Race, 5 Gallon Orange bucket had a huge lead, stopped, turned around, starting running, leapt and took out all 3 opponents. I encourage random acts of violence during mascot races.
I’d be more than happy if this was my teams park, just not in Texas. Too flipping hot here.
Shout out to Mr. Q and Adia, who I met before the game out in right center while I was taking a few pics. He’s on a ballpark tour quest also and he’s got a great lady with him!!
Lastly, I am an old. As a kid, half the superstars I idolized were black baseball players. It’s great to see all the African American Braves and BASEBALL fans at the game. Truly. Baseball needs more African American players.
