Unlike the Cubs who sent talent out for one year of Kyle Tucker. Sure, Tucker’s good but why send out talent for just one year of Kyle?
The Cubs knew they weren’t going to pay him what it would take to sign him long term AND the Cubs were not just one player away.
Peralta is good, really good, and he’s young enough still too and the Mets can sign him long term (provided he handles the market and pitches well this coming season).
