Il y a deux semaines, un journaliste a demandé à Jurickson Profar : « Avez-vous fait quelque chose pendant cette intersaison pour vous assurer que cette confusion qui s’est produite auparavant… ne se reproduira plus ? » Profar : « Oui, oui »

He simply made sure it wasn’t a mix-up this time

Surely they wouldn’t test a second year in a row, only a ballsy man would take PEDs again right after a suspension.

this is the type of phrasing they had the doctor in Arrested Development using lmao

Well, if you are purposefully doing it, how would there be a ‘mix-up’???

Just let him play, who cares. It’s not like he’s going to hit 100 Hr and 500 RBI.

« And the lie detector determined… that was a lie »

Gonna go out on a limb here with a hot take… I think he lied

The ole double positive = a negative

Both for this statement and the tests he took

The brazen idiocy from this guy is astounding.

Because I’ve seen a few Padres fans tried playing defense like this, let’s say he didn’t do PEDs during his career year. Why would you chance your biggest paycheck of your career especially for consecutive years continually doing PEDs?

Then let’s say… ok he did do PEDs as a Padre and got his big payday. I would think you’d now likely stop because you got your payday. Don’t suspend yourself and forgo your pay. Maybe the half season suspension gets caught from testing after the deal is signed and you lose some money.

Cool ok sucks for you, but why do it *again?* Maybe it’s because 42 million dollars seems like more than enough money to ever want in a lifetime and just a drop in the bucket to these guys, but is losing *half of your contract to suspensions caused by PEDs* worth it for a contract you’re seemingly trying to push performance for another big payday at 35 years old once the contract ends?

Because now you’d be lucky to make 21 million past 35 years old at this point. Rarely do 35+ players get *big paydays* if you’d make that 21m back at all it’ll be done over a period twice as long now again if he’s lucky.

The difference between Profar and 700 other MLBers is that he’s dumb enough to get caught.
