Specifically, it’s runs allowed per outs against ONLY the tied teams.

Those tie breakers are way too complicated. It should be head to head and run differential first and foremost. Runs allowed per defensive out may be one of the dumbest tie breakers ever.

Tiebreakers 2 and 3 are supposed to be only between the teams that are tied, not all games, correct?
Seems like MLB/WBC didn’t learn its lesson from 2017 and be more clear regarding the tiebreaker rules.

Cause it causes team to continue unnecessary aggressive attack after leading by a lot. If we only count earned runs then it’s mainly about pitchers trying their best at all times.
