(Point culminant) Eugenio Suarez appelle le temps, mais l’arbitre ne le permet pas, il revient dans la surface et reste en vie en commettant une faute sur le terrain

What was Venezuela mad about? Nola had already started his windup

that’s crazy impressive, but… genuine question, should he have been called out? he stepped completely out of the box. or does that only matter when it’s at the moment of contact?

  3. Crazy to think if he didn’t defend that, it would’ve been a strikeout while Suarez is stepped completely out of the batters box lol

It wasn’t time, the pitch clock was up. Ump just not paying attention, and neither is the broadcast.

The ump had to make it about himself SOME how.

    Embarrassing.

Last second timeout. Good job for the Ump not allowing it

Nola was in his windup already.

Your clip starts a couple seconds late. What happened was Nola was looking at the ground with 1 second left on the pitch clock, he looks up and sees his catcher waving to hurry and throw it, so he immediately starts his windup. I think Suarez was caught off guard because Nola didn’t initiate eye contact before starting his windup, which is why he started to step out. Not defending Suarez here since he should stay ready to hit, but the clip is misleading to make it look like he just wants to call time during a normal pitch
