My friend had his bachelor party in KC randomly, I’m an O’s fan, he’s a non baseball fan, but he matched it up so we could catch an KC vs O’s game. Him and Witt crushed us. The only saving grace was that our bachelor dressed like Dorothy and got free merch and was the life of the party in 30-40 degree weather and that wind bowl.

Respect the commentary from Perez. Some people will misinterpret it, but man has shown more than enough loyalty to KC to not receive flack for this.

This is the type of shit that sometimes feels inaccurate about the HOF. You tell me you’re going to a baseball museum 100 years from now and you’re not going to find anything about Salvador Perez?

I mean, I get it. 35 ish war is not close enough, but him and Yadier and Posey. I don’t quite have a good argument for them, but they should be there.

Same with Jimmy Rollins and Pedroia.

But anyways. Happy saint Patrick and congratulations to Venezuela

Country > team is pretty much a given in all sports worldwide, fairly annoying it’s a constant question.

Considering every mlb player I’ve seen interviewed said they’d rather win a WBC championship than a World Series? Yeah, it tracks.

We understand, Salvy. We’re just glad you’re still with us, you will always be a legend in the city.

Honestly, if you had said that the World Series was better than this, that would’ve been more concerning. The World Series means most to just one fanbase, the WBC means everything for an entire nation. You said it the best way possible, I understood you perfectly.

We have some great orators here, you and Travis across the parking lot. And with every word you say, Salvy, you would still convince me to sprint through the nearest brick wall.

Salvy is so damn likeable, he even makes Rosenthal seem like a normal chill, average-sized human just by sitting next to him.

Ginobli said that gold medal with Argentina was greater than any championship he won with the Spurs and I have to agree. Something about playing for an entire country alongside your fellow citizens, especially when you’re not favored to win, is beyond all.

Yeah id expect playing for your country means more than playing for your company

He’s an icon of the game.

Sal looks like he could eat that lottle dweeb

Every athlete wants to win and its hard to have more loyalty to a team that can trade you or replace you on a whim vs the country you were born and the families and friends you want to represent. Anyone thinking statements like this is a slight on mlb or its fans is just bein fragile.
